World Poker Exchange Announces $2 Million London Tournament

ANTIGUA, BWI, Feb. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The World Poker Exchange, one of the
world's fastest growing online poker sites, has announced today that it will
host The London Open at the Old Billingsgate Market in August.
The offline poker tournament will be held in partnership with FHM UK and
The Bravo Channel, the UK's leading men's entertainment network, on August 3rd
through to August 6th.
The World Poker Exchange London Open will be the first lifestyle poker
tournament of its kind and will provide exclusive outings each night of the
tournament. Old Billingsgate is a nineteenth century landmark building
situated in a prime position on the River Thames with views across to Tower
Bridge, London Bridge and the South Bank.
The event promises to attract both world-renowned poker players and
celebrities from around the globe. The overall tournament will be filmed as a
primetime TV special, "World Poker Exchange London Open," and will also
document the highs and lows of 10 FHM qualifying players as they play for the
$2 million prize pool, which will be broadcast on Flextech's Bravo and
freeview channel Ftn, reaching 3 million homes.
Those new to the game can take advantage of the FHM/World Poker Exchange
Poker School that began on January 27th and runs through to June 2005. The
Poker School will be highlighted in print and video tutorials in FHM magazine,
Zoo magazine, FHM .com and further promoted on twelve Emap radio stations
across the UK, including KISS FM in London. The 5 million FHM readers and
countless listeners can participate in a free qualifying tournament and enjoy
the chance to win a free seat at the World Poker Exchange London Open.
Haden Ware, CEO of World Poker Exchange, said, "The wide scope of our
first international live tournament will demonstrate that Worldpx.com is
committed to becoming one of the top online poker destinations in the world."
"The event's format and non-card playing activities surrounding the World
Poker Exchange London Open will make it a truly lifestyle tournament, clearly
differentiating it from all other existing live tournaments and making it a
perennial 'must attend' event for any professional poker circuit player. Our
relationship with FHM and Bravo is only two of many strategic alliances we are
developing across multiple territories to bring Worldpx.com to the forefront
of online gambling."
